After the red light was put on racing due to Covid-19, Britain's Tom Brennan has been starved of track time in 2020. However, with the staging of larger meetings taking place abroad, the young-gun has had the call up from Neil Vatcher to take place in both the FIM European Under-21 Semi-Final and FIM European Under-19 Semi-Final.

Brennan will travel to Divisoz in the Czech Republic to compete against Europe's best up and coming Under-21 riders on August 1st with the hope of progressing into the Final in Hungary later on in the year. He will then travel back to the Czech Republic but this time competing at Pardubice, a track Tom is no stranger to, to compete in the European Under-19's. With confidence that the Brit should progress to the Under-19 Final, Tom and his team will be travelling further into the continent to race at the Slovakian circuit of Zarnovica.

"Firstly I would like to thank Neil Vatcher for giving me this opportunity to represent Great Britain in both events and am looking forward to wearing the Young Lions race jacket once again. When I got the call for the Under-19's it was no brainer, I did the meeting back in 2018 and managed to reach the final but threw away my 3rd place in my last heat when I crashed when leading. It's fair to say I definitely learned from that! I know I'm capable of doing well in the Under-19's and am confident if all goes well I should be travelling to Zarnovica two days later. I'm more prepared than I've ever been with all this time off and am more than ready to put my practice into purpose. Regarding the Under-21's, I just wanna say how gutted I am for Dan [Bewley] as I know what it's like to be injured right before a meeting like that, I was in the same position last year and I send my best wishes to him. Neil originally rang me to be on stand-by as GB only had one representative in the Euro Under-21's and was ready to step in if anything changed. It certainly won't be easy to qualify for the Final but I'm determined to show what I'm capable of and how much I've grown as a rider and used lockdown to my advantage. Finally, I'd like to thank all my sponsors who have stuck by me through the pandemic and everybody else around me who's helped me progress this year".

Any contribution to Tom's meeting expenses would be muchly appreciated and would be a great help if we could get as many people together as possible. If you're interested in working with and helping Great Britain's Tom Brennan in his career then email for more information.
