ON THE ROAD AND READY TO GO

P/C: Ian Charles

After a tough televised debut meeting for Belle Vue on Monday night, Tom is on the road and raring to improve as he heads to Ipswich for the first away meeting of the 2021 season.

Brennan's campaign as an Ace kickstarted at the National Speedway Stadium on the 17th May live on Eurosport 2 and although the scorecard only held 3 points to his name, he bagged arguably one of the most exciting races of the meeting when fending off former Grand Prix Winner, Troy Batchelor, for third. The "rising star" and his teammates managed to edge out in front of the highly competitive Sheffield Tigers to finish the night on a narrow 47-43 win and start their SGB Premiership title hunt victorious.

Tom will now head to Foxhall Stadium tonight with the hope to continue improving his efforts in the British top league and help the prestigious Belle Vue Aces try to record an away win against the 6-man team of Ipswich.

"I'm really glad the boys won at home on Monday night, we knew it wasn't going to be easy as Sheffield are a really strong team and have one of the fastest guys in the Ekstraliga at number 5 but our I team is super strong too and I think that showed. All the boys scored really well and I've learnt a lot just from that one meeting despite only scoring 3. I think they are probably the hardest few points I've ever worked for! I felt like I was on the pace but my gating let me down which is why I had to score my points the hard way. Admittedly it was less than I'd had hoped for but it's all a learning process and I'm really looking forward to taking that to Ipswich tonight. I've been to Ipswich once before which was the British Under-19's but it was a while ago now, if I remember correctly it's a track that I get on with well and I'm looking forward to it!
